In September 2009, K9Sports of Tennessee announced our new Adopt-A-Shelter program.
At each K9Sports of TN trial/test we will be adopting a local shelter or rescue group in and around Davidson county or the surrounding counties. We are asking exhibitors to help us help our local shelters by bringing something on the adopted shelter’s wish list. It doesn’t have to be a lot because every little bit helps!
How to apply
If you have a shelter or rescue group you would like us to consider adopting please e-mail your request to Vickie Tillman at VLTillman@comcast.net with “ADOPT-A-SHELTER application” in the SUBJECT LINE. In the body of your email please include:
- name, e-mail and phone number for contact person
- information regarding your organization
- a list of items needed
Also include whether someone will be available to pick up the donated items the last day of the event. If there is an emergency situation, please state that in the body of the email.
Nashville Humane Association (NHA) has been chosen as the current K9Sports of TN Adopt-A-Shelter program recipient. We will be taking up donations at the TDAA/ASCA trial Memorial Day weekendheld at Tennessee Livestock center MTSU in Murfreesbor. Please bring an item to put it in the collection bin at the show.
In addition to caring for and finding forever homes for homeless pets, NHA has been assisting Flood victims by housing their pets until suitable housing can be found. They are in need of supplies.
